Things to Do Near Your Glamping Getaway
Nestled in the heart of Scotland’s first National Park, our glamping pods are perfectly placed for exploring one of the country’s most breathtaking landscapes. Whether you're drawn to peaceful lochside strolls, scenic hilltop hikes, or wildlife spotting, there’s something here for everyone—whatever the weather.
Explore the Great Outdoors
The surrounding area is a haven for walkers, with open moorlands, wooded trails, and dramatic peaks. You're right on the doorstep of Ben Lomond, the most southerly Munro, and Conic Hill, a shorter climb with rewarding panoramic views over Loch Lomond. For an easygoing walk with a fantastic viewpoint, head to The Dumpling, a local gem just a 7–8-minute drive away near the village of Gartocharn.
Looking to go further afield? There are countless trails and peaks across the park waiting to be conquered. If a gentler route is more your style, the West Highland Way is easily accessible and winds all the way to Inverness—walk a section or challenge yourself to go further.
Get Out on the Water
If you’d rather be on the loch than looking at it, Loch Lomond offers a variety of water-based adventures. With over 30 islands to explore, it’s perfect for boat tours, which can be booked just 5 minutes away at the Balloch Marina. At Loch Lomond Shores, you’ll also find pedal boats, canoe hire, and family-friendly attractions including playparks, crazy golf, the SEA LIFE Aquarium, and a Bird of Prey Centre—all just a 6-minute drive from your pod.
Wildlife & Nature

If you enjoy peaceful walks and spotting wildlife, you’ll love the nature surrounding Glamping Loch Lomond. Just 7 minutes from your pod is the RSPB Loch Lomond Nature Reserve, a lovely place to explore with walking trails, picnic areas, and plenty of wildlife to see all year round.
You might spot birds like herons, swans, and even ospreys, as well as deer, butterflies, and wildflowers depending on the season. The trails are suitable for all ages and most are dog-friendly too—perfect for a gentle stroll with the family or your four-legged friend.
There’s free parking, toilets, and lots of places to sit and take in the view. The RSPB often runs guided walks and family-friendly events, so there’s always something new to discover.
It’s a relaxing way to spend a few hours in nature, just a short drive from your pod.
Charming Villages & Local Delights
The nearby villages of Balloch, Luss, and Balmaha offer scenic walks and a warm welcome. You’ll find a great selection of pubs, cafés, restaurants, and independent shops to explore—perfect for unwinding after a day outdoors.
Whether you're travelling with the whole family, exploring with friends, or bringing along your four-legged companion, the area is packed with dog-friendly walks, attractions, and places to eat.
