5 min from the farm
Five minutes from the farm, Balloch Marina is where most people first get out onto Loch Lomond itself.
Balloch sits at the southern tip of the loch, and the marina is the starting point for boat trips out onto the water and among its thirty-odd islands. Seeing the loch from the middle of it is a different thing from seeing it from the shore, and it's the easiest way to get a sense of how big it really is.
It pairs naturally with Loch Lomond Shores, a minute further on, and with supper in Balloch before the five-minute drive back to the farm and your hot tub.
