20 min from the farm
Twenty minutes from the farm, Conic Hill above Balmaha gives you the classic panorama down the length of the loch.
This is the view on the postcards. Conic Hill sits on the Highland Boundary Fault, and from the top you can see the line of islands running across the loch along it, with the Lowlands on one side and the Highlands on the other. The West Highland Way comes over the hill and down into Balmaha.
It's a proper climb, so give it a morning. Lunch at the shore in Balmaha, then back to the farm for the afternoon. Our two-night plan builds a Saturday around it. If you'd rather something shorter, The Dumpling is seven minutes from the farm.
